Siskiyou Media Council Receives Grants from the Community Foundation of the North State’s Wildfire Recovery Fund and The Ford Family Foundation for the Telvue AIO-B100 Purchase to Enhance Emergency Notification Process in Yreka and Weed, California
YREKA, CALIFORNIA – [11 Aug 2023] – Siskiyou Media Council, a long-standing nonprofit organization in Siskiyou County dedicated to providing community media resources and services, is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded grants from the North State Wildfire Recovery Fund at the Community Foundation of the North State, and The Ford Family Foundation Good Neighbor Grant. These grants will support the acquisition of the advanced Telvue AIO-B100 broadcasting system, aimed at enhancing the emergency notification process in cooperation with the Siskiyou Office of Emergency Services, benefiting the communities of Yreka and Weed, California.
The North State Wildfire Recovery Fund, with its commitment to assisting communities affected by devastating wildfires, plays a vital role in rebuilding and revitalizing the region. The Community Foundation of the North State, responsible for administering the fund, ensures that resources are allocated effectively to organizations actively working towards wildfire recovery and community resilience. The Ford Family Foundation’s Good Neighbor Grant program, dedicated to supporting initiatives that enhance the quality of life in rural communities, further strengthens the efforts of Siskiyou Media Council.
